I nearly considered giving this place a good review, but the room was filthy with spider webs in every corner and unclean tables. I woudl ve expected a complimentary gesture for all the inconveniences, yet got nothing-just pure disapointment.

The worst value for money in my life. Frightening location. Not enough stuff. No feeling of security. They have to keep entrance doors locked. Last 2 stars are misplaced (not deserved).

We had the jacuzzi room on the top floor which was amazing. It had a real Moulin Rouge feel to it and full on traditional French ambience that you only could wish for. An experience as well as a lovely hotel stay. Just one problem. The air conditioning wasn't working. On enquiring, it was out of action for the whole hotel. No mention of this by staff as we checked in or any remedial action during or on check out. Imagine that. >£200 a night room with no air con or compensation. So had to sleep with the windows open and it was very noisy outside being next to a night club. Fortunetly that part went un noticed by my partner and she loved it.

The unique decor and the view from our fifth-floor room over Sacré-Cœur enhanced our stay. The helpful staff made great dining recommendations, making our experience even more enjoyable.

I appreciated being there, the place is fantastic little.
The breakfast with great options. Had tastefully decorated deluxe queen room with the carpet of the bedroom and a huge bed, for example. The location was excellent very near to the subway station.

Location (5 minutes from metro), room (Victor Hugo) was very spacious and in a fantasy like moulin rouge style! Jacuzzi is huge, can fit three people.
Don't expect any room service or spa.

the room was not cleaned full of stain on the walls and available with nice jacuzzi, a lovely view and large comfortable bed. the hotel had a good location walking distance from market. it also was close to montmartre area.
As for me, the area was really loud.

The historical vibe and luxurious decor of the hotel added a unique charm to our stay, and it was good to enjoy breakfast in bed each morning.
The jacuzzi in our room was less functional than expected, leading to water leakage that created an inconvenient mess in the bathroom.

Location
The most negative impression was, that we were charged for the whole amount right upon arrival and we had to leave deposit 50 euros for each day of our stay (300 euros for 6 days), and it was not written in the rules of the hotel, so it was quite unexpectedly. Also we faced the problem that right after we have booked the hotel, the hotel staff charged the amount for 400 euros more than the price of our booking. Like they explained later, it was by mistake, but it took us 2 days to resolve the problem calling to the hotel, booking customer service and my bank. And we didnt receive any compensation for the inconvenience.

The decor and location, staff very helpful and friendly, though it seems one man has to do everything from reception to room making room deliveries
The rooms were dusty, standard of hotel has declined, stayed there Dec 2002, was totally different then! Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel.

I loved the artistic vibe of La Villa Royale. The staff were warm and accommodating. Breakfast served in my room was a good treat with good options like pastries and cold cuts. The view of Sacré-Cœur from my window was beautiful. I encountered a couple of hiccups. The air conditioning didn't function properly. The furniture looked dated with some scratches, and there were issues with noise insulation, sounds from the nightlife filtered in often, which could be disruptive. The shower facilities also had a minor issue with water pressure, causing some splashing on the floor.

Excellent location and the rooms are funny, brothel like. So much different than other -regular- hotels.
Very small ( tiny) rooms, kinda old and rusty, the sparkling has gone and needs some refurbishing.
